Mark, Dan, and I had signed up to do 100 miles (the actual course was 103 with 6000 feet of climbing). We started at 7AM, after having gotten back from business in San Francisco late the night before. At about the time these pictures were taken, around 11:15 AM in Hidden Valley, we all started to get pretty fatigued, and we ended up finishing the 100K route (62.5 miles and 4000 or so feet of climbing) just before 1 PM.

My right knee is a little bloody from falling over at a stop light when I could not clip out. It was only my third ride with my new shoes and pedals, and I had fallen once on each of the previous rides as well. I am getting better, though, and have not fallen since.

That is Mark to my left (on the right in the photo) and Dan coming up behind us.
