Day 14: Our last full day. We just toured around LA. Drove down Sunset Blvd and into Beverly Hills. I forgot where Rodeo Drive was, so we missed that, and continued on to the La Brea Tar Pits. Then we went up and along Hollywood Blvd. We stopped at Mann's Chinese Theater and walked down the Walk of Fame a little. Then we drove up in Griffith Park to the Griffith Observatory. It was a great view from there. We saw a laser light show in the planetarium set to music of the Beatles. Then we watched the sunset and the lights of LA come on. For dinner, I wanted to take everyone to Sushi. We finally found this sushi buffet place on Wilshire. I like sushi, but this was not the best. I have had much better sushi. So you know if I did not think it was good, everyone else really did not like it. They had some good laughs, though.

We stayed at the same place, since their flight was early the next morning. So that was the one thing I regretted. They had come all this way and never got to see my place in Ventura. We will have to do that next time. Maybe I will have a house by then. Saturday morning I dropped them off at the airport and we said our goodbyes, and wondered if Cheryl's luggage would make it back with her. As I started to drive home I noticed my trip odometer hit 2000. So we had made it an even 2000 miles for our 2000 vacation.
