NOTES:
Warnings: Craig
and Frank for late roster rotation submissions. I’ll let them off the hook
without a fine because Frank beat Craig and Craig had actually sent his stuff
Monday but sent it to some other Dennis.
Please make sure you use the latest ZIP! Managers with the computer game must use the latest
ZIP when submitting .MGR files. I had to check and set certain settings for starting
pitchers for September rotations, and if you resubmit your lineups without
having used the latest ZIP then your old settings will overwrite those changes
(and I will notice and not be happy).
September Lineups due September 24. Up to 5 lineups can be
designated. Use the numbers 1 through 5 to designate your lineups! Lineup 1 is the default
lineup vs LH pitching, so it should be the lineup you
use most often versus lefties, and Lineup 2 is the default lineup vs RH pitching, so it should be the lineup you use most
often versus right handed pitchers. Please make sure you follow that guideline.
Then after listing your 5 lineups list your game numbers and which lineup is to
be used in that game. NOTE: If you only use the two default lineups and
lineup 1 always faces a LHP and lineups 2 always faces a RHP, then you do not
need to list the individual game assignments, you can just say “Use Default
Lineups”. This is the only time that a list of assignments can be omitted. If
you use more than 2 lineups, then you must submit a separate list specifying
the lineup to use for each game. Make sure that you only use players who
are in your MAJORS this month in your lineups. Your minor league list can be
found on the
September Manager Profiles, Final Players Settings due
September 24. Your current manager profile and player settings are shown on your

Watch
Your Usage! Check
for batters who are close to running out of AB/PA. Remember, you can designate
a substitute for any batter who may run out. That substitute MUST bat in the
same spot in the lineup, but you can specify reasonable defensive changes. For
example, “if Drew runs out, then in lineup 2 substitute Kinsler
in his spot at 2B and move Loretta to SS”. Different substitutes for different
lineups are allowed within reason (i.e. do not try to slip in a whole new
lineup #6 this way).
Do
not declare substitutes for relievers or try to specify manager profile changes
for mid-month. If a reliever runs out of IP, they are sent down, and that is it. No one
comes up in his place. If that reliever happened to be your setup vs. LH, then
you are out of luck. You cannot declare a new setup vs. LH for after they run
out. Whatever manager profile you set for the start of the month, you are stuck
with for the whole month.
For Managers with the
Computer Game, you need to submit a .MGR file with your
lineups, player settings, and manager tendencies set, as well as a list of the
lineups assigned to each game. Detailed instructions on how to prepare your
manager profile and export the .MGR file are posted elsewhere on the website,
along with a ZIP of the latest Strat game rosters. Remember
to include you lineup assignments in addition to the .MGR file, otherwise I
will not know which lineup you want to use each game! If you want to use more
than 2 lineups, then you must submit a separate list specifying the lineup to
use for each game. If no list is provided, then only the default lineups 1 and
2 will be used.
